Marking as read
-
When the sidebar is closed and a new alert is received you will notice a badge displaying the number of unread alerts.
-
Once the sidebar is opened and an alert is in view it will be marked as read with a green checkmark in the bottom right corner. You can click the green check mark to toggle is back to unread. As you scroll down and new alerts come in to focus they will be marked as read.
This alert has been marked as read.
-
Once an alert has been marked as read and the sidebar is closed it will be removed from the main feed. You can view all read alerts by toggling the “Read” filter at the top of the list.
Filters
-
Alert Type - The alerts feed can be filtered temporarily by opening the filters modal and selecting which alert types to show.
-
To clear all alert type filters click the “X” button that appears after filters have been applied.
-
This can be used to temporarily hide or highlight certain alert types, while still keeping a history of all types. i.e. When the filter is removed the hidden alerts will then show.
-
Whereas turning the subscription OFF means no alerts for that type will be recorded.
-
This can be done from Settings → Alerts → Subscriptions.
-
❗ Again, this removes alerts from being created in the database and will therefore not display any alerts of that type that came in during the time period that the subscription was OFF even after toggling it back ON.
Settings
- General → Play sound on new alert: announce new alerts with a sound.
- General → Screen width: adjusts the width of the extension sidebar.
- Alerts → Your team: select users who’s alert activity you’d like to follow.
-
Note: This setting may not be visible depending on your account permissions.
Open the Settings by clicking the gear icon
-
Alerts
- You can favorite an alert by clicking the start icon ⭐️ and then easily view all of your favorited alerts by toggling the “Favorites” filter. This is useful for anything you may want to come back to later and can also function as a todo list.
- Alert links:
-
Each alert will have useful links back to records in Bullhorn. Depending on the alert type there are links to: Candidate, Job Order, Placement, Company
Ex. (from left to right): open the Candidate record, open the Job Order record
